Bringing Clear Vision to Rural Communities! In April 2024, NBJK's Vimla Ramkrishna Bajaj Eye Hospital (VRBEH), Deoghar, spearheaded 27 outreach eye screening camps across villages in Giridih, Deoghar, and Jamui districts of Jharkhand-Bihar. Together, we've impacted lives: 460 OPD consultations, identifying 132 cataract cases, 8 Pterygium cases, and addressing 207 Refractive Errors. Thanks to the generous support of Sightsavers India, Seva Foundation, and Vision Foundation of India, this initiative became a reality. With our dedicated teams from VRBEH's Vision Centers at Jasidih and Giridih, we ensured access to essential eye care services. But it doesn't stop there. 44 patients received crucial medications, and 24 were referred to our base hospital for advanced treatment. Cataract patients underwent free surgeries, including transportation, accommodation, meals, and comprehensive care.Together, we're not just restoring vision; we're illuminating lives.
